Do women in recent times have to still adhere to the ‘Sita’ standard? Sakshi rightfully points out that things have changed but attitudes haven’t.

Sita Standard
- Dependent on somebody else ALL the time.
- Incapable of making a rational choice
- Incapable of defending herself
- Did not fight back when society blamed the victim
- A pawn in the game of Good and Evil.

And no - This is not based on a reading of the Ramayana - thought that has been poured into me a few number of times - this is based on popular culture perception of Sita. Ugh!
