i think the arguments in the mentioned article are correct.
in the long term only two things will happen from these ( if they occur):
1: the faculty at original iim’s stay so and then which iim are you from starts to matter. ( just like today ahemdabad is distinct from rest)
2: all faculty moves aboard and a fine institution of india gets drained 9 similar to brain drain)
i also think that iim people are not as visible in world as iitians are.
possibly because us has too many good business schools….
