Sepia Mutiny plays, what I suspect is a very elaborate April Fool’s joke.
Make sure you check it out before they get back to regular programming. The new website is amusing.

Ok, I admit, I was one of the fools to fall for it…and so shocked that I missed listening to my credit card statement on the phone…still, you’re sure that its a joke???

The registrar information on a whois lookup confirms there is no change whatsoever in the ownership – still Manish Vij, and still locked.

Thanks for ruining what was to be a delightful April Fool’s day prank.

Come’on, Abhi (and gang)…the folks at Desicritics were already running WHOIS searches on your domain and other ‘detective stuff’ last night. The April Fool’s pranks is getting a lil cliched…they ought to change the date just to throw people off

Patrix,
Someone just forwarded me this post. Comment 6 above was not left by me. For starters I would never use the word “delightful” in a comment. Also I would never insult my fellow mutineers by refering to them as a common “gang.”
I don’t know what this thing “whois” is but maybe you could email me offline to explain. Thanks.

Who cares. One less South Asian blog is always good. Oh but i think you guys would be worried as their fellow South Asian cousins in the grab of Indian Bloggers. Are you guys going to file a petition against the imeginary theif of their site? Funny thing is only place they get listed are Indian blogs under ‘INDIAN’ category
)
BTW when are you changing your tag line?

I’m always really amused by people who say they don’t care about something, and then write an elaborate comment about it
. This was really funny, even funnier than their last April Fool’s post.

Reason of posting that comment was to inform readers(Indian once not SA types) about Non-Indian origins of Sepia. The tag line here says DP is all about ‘Indian’ i mean real indians not cherokee. But then they feature SM or PP here without informing their readers. Can get a bit confusing to non-intellectual indians you know.

Manish, you answer your own question. Somehow the visual of Mutineers with mohawaks and tomahawks is quite funny.

Manish, we at Desipundit don’t see any discord between Indian and South Asian. I believe the former is merely the subset of the latter.

I admit I fell for that. But it was a cheap shot. Playing a fool’s day prank the day before. That’s like yelling “Happy New Year” on the midnight of December 30th. Not cool at all. Very well designed prank though.
