A middle-path solution to the Mandal-2 anti-resevation stir (by Medical & other students) is that the Masters (PG) Degress in Medical stream and other research based MTech programs in IIS/IITs be excluded from the quota reservation.
The quota till Bachelor/MBBS degree should be accepted but not at Masters level.
Please pass the message to Youth for Equality, whose web/email contact I could not find. Lets try for this the possible solution

what do these politicians think themselves to be.. Are they the kings of our nation.
The answer is probably they are not. But these days they are believing themselves to be
They have grown so old, they cant imaging what harm they are doing to the nation.
They are just wasting the talent of indians.
the students of obc classes, get admissions with low score,,and the seats will be occupied,, while higher scoring students have to wait..
How can this be fair.
I think the time has come, we have to show these people, we are the students of the same nation where Shahid Bhagat Singh, ChandraShekhar Azad, Mahatma Gandhi, SubhashChandra Bose and other democratists were born who could fight and win from the srong britishers, then these politicians are no match for us…
so lets join our handsss….
Thank u youth for equality for opening our eyes…
I want to know, how can i join in your agitation
please mail me about this

Hi friends,
They way you all are protesting is great, rather i don,t have word to thanks you. But you know the complete structure is so corrupted that still after so much of inconvenience to the public as well as the youth ,who are the future of India, they don,t bother at all. If they wanted to uplift the backward classes they might have done something for them insist of crating more problem for general & middle class peaople. In parliament, one MP have said that the protest is unconstitutional. I want to ask those stupid MP’s that whenever there is scandal like Boffors. Does that was constitutional. Then when are fighting for a cause it don’t have any significance. Also to the police whether of MUMBAI or BIHAR, Whenever there is crime they don’t take the case or investigate properly. Then who gave them the right to throw tear gas and also beat the student who were doing peace ful protest.
I am strongly against this reservation. It should be completly waved of from our constitution otherwise there won’t be any scientist, doctors, engneers and neither any MNC would like to work .
Thanks

Mandal-2:
Even after 60 years of independence, with ’secular’ parties ruling the country, we continue to practice casteism, which was practised by our forefathes and which should be eliminated. If we really want to eliminate discrimination on caste, creed, color, religion, sect basis, we should remove reservation completely.
Youth for Equality, gun for removing existing 22.5% reservation. Aim for the moon.

This reservation is being used against us for making us economically and socially backward.
If our ancestor did castism then how is it worng. Now goverment is making castism and discrimination constitutional and legal. If goverment is using Quota for making them financially strong then after geting a job,why they prefered in promotion. Although they becomes financially strong. There should be limit of reservation but it has become a lollypop
for sc/st and OBC. It is shame that V.P Sing ,Arjun Singh and other forward leader is also supporting it. I think they are making money using this kind of politics. We should again fight for equality.Even Forward caste can demand for other nation or live like dog or Achhut.

Implemetation of quotas is still a dillema considering both legal and ethical issues. Many OBC’s and SC/ST’s are still impoverised educationally and financially even though quotas had been existing for more than 50 years. On the other side the creamy layer OBC’s and SC/ST’s always reap the benefits which are meant for their poorer and less previleged counterparts.
Luckily there is bias on race so far in India.

The new reservation policy of the government is totally baseless and only to aim the vote bank of the unprevileged people. They did not saw the sentiments of the middle class high caste people. This type of reservation is only harmful to the nation. Only increase of seat is not a solution for this problem. Take confident to all sections of the people to solve this at the earliest.

Its exteremely remarable of you guys that you are standing against discrimination when everybody is just trying to get their share. I salute you guys for your solidarity. There cannot and should not be any quotas in Post graduation and in premier institutes. My whole hearted support with you all. You are doing the best which we can think of. For how many years these politicians going to suck our blood. The fitting reply to them is to vote them out so badly that they cannot lift their face again and think of such stupid ideas.
If quota needs to be implemented let it be on the basis of economy and not caste and creed.

Basically, the problem of reservation is not seen in right spirit by politicians cutting across party lines. I was astonished to read in Economic Times of 25.05.06 wherein BJP General Secretary Arun Jaitley says that the problem could be solved by first increasing the number of seats. Agreeing with Government otherway round!! Senseless creature on Indian soil. No political party is lending its support to “Youth for Equality” because they fear that their vote bank (created so nicely for almost 60 years) will fade away in just one stroke, if they support this agitation. God only have to save the Country. Students! don’t let off the agitation. I really desire to see that all the students (irrespective of the course that the students are studying i.e., be it Engineering, Medical or any common degree)join the protest and force this foolish government to abandon their try.
Parents and other enlightened civilians of this nation should lend their support to the agitation.

long live the youth for equality, ‘cos they have had the guts to protest. i hope the quota system is either eliminated totally, or at least stopped from increasing further, and it sould be ensured that the benefits reach the really needy of the sc/st/obc s

This is high time we have to raise our voices against the system.some one has to get up and become the idea and follow the concept of “Rang De Basanti” if few politicians POP OFF then only will the goverment realise the seriousness of the situation.Here at Davangere (karanataka) students are putting enormous efforts seeing which we need to get inspired and show the politicians of india that now no more can the screw the country like this for their personal profit.We people have suffered a lot and in future our children will suffer more!!!!!!!!!! we all have to do some thingh in our own way to fight against this reservation at all levels. Do what ever you can send ;
1)send emails
2) sms
3)take photos and forward to all the people whom you know in india
4)write letters to the higher authorities
5)stop work at all levels (paralise the system)
6)Avoid using force till a certain threshold and after that do what ever you wish.

Dr. Ambedkar made the law for Reservation when india was suffering with poverty and the treatment for those lower class was extremely hostile… due to their poor condition they cannot get education … thats in early 1940’s. But the scenario have changed now radically, all this is just for this elections and votes … i can see thousands Lower Caste damn rich … they don’t need any more support from the government … it we are the culprit who choose this bad government. If we choose our leaders better the situation will be more prevalent …
Get out the rules for Reservation, remove this caste … who like to be called lower caste anymore …

It is very sad to note that our country is following a policy based on caste, creed and religion. Such policy hampers progress and brings about disparities amongst various groups and classes. People tend to forget that they are first and foremost Indians. Dividing the people on caste and religion basis harms the country and does not contribute to the overall development. We should not repeat the mistake made by our forefathers by practicing ‘untouchability’. Two wrongs, do not make one right. Efforts should be made to eradicate this social stigma.
The reservation which have been given to so-called down trodden as embedded in the constitution, does not really pass to the down trodden. People who have got everything they need like good schooling, houses and job promotions etc are the one’s who are actually enjoying it. The man in the village still suffers from starvation and commits suicide . The policy of providing reservation should be fully stopped and instead every needy person should be given help in terms of scholarship for one’s education and books. It should also be stopped while giving promotions in job, job opportunities, college admission etc. Such reservation threatens the very foundation of a country. It brings about ill feeling among people and leads to hatred. By providing reservations, a country doesn’t produce good scholars, doctors, engineers, etc. In 21 st century only the merit can survive the competition from different quarters.
It will also stop the flow of funds from the FDIs and the private sector will be reluctant in setting up projects in this country. Politicians thrive by dividing people on caste lines for ‘feathering their own nest’. The private sector has threatened to stop business, if reservation is thrust on them.
I earnestly request th PM to stop such practice in this country. We have had enough of riots, violence and bloodshed in this country. Please ensure that the common man does not suffer at the hands of the political for his vested interest. If the present government is very keen in upholding the constitution of India, then why this government failed to protect the demolition of the Babari Masjid and where was Arjun Singh & Co ? The ACT-I was done by VPSingh and now it is the turn of Arjun Singh to do ACT-II. I pray to God to give strength and momemtum to the on agitation. With best wishes.
Anand.

This is for those Dalit who are coming forward in support of OBC reservation.
For Pro OBC Reservationists
Can you give answer to the following 10 questions?
1. Did ever in the history of India the OBCs supported the cause of Dalits
2. Can OBCs go on hunger strike for SC/ST reservation in private sector
3. Do not you think that OBC’s demand for reservation is about demanding for luxurious comforts as they have already been doing well economically and politically
4. Why some Dalits are raising voice when all OBC leaders are sitting quiet
5. Can OBCs donate their pieces of some land to poor landless Dalits in the villages
6. Why OBCs have always been against the Dalit empowerment
7. Are not OBCs staunch supporters of Brahhmanwad
8. Are not most OBCs following the pseudo spiritual hindu gurus
9. Will the reservation to OBCs help in rooting out the brahamanwad
10. What about your action if Ambedkar would have been alive
We should support OBCs only if they believe in the ideology of Ambedkar. Please answer these questions and then decide your course of actions.

hi ppl,
the basic demand of the strikink docs and other students is to set a non political commitee to look into the issue whether mandal 1 led to any benefits.but the wary politicians are reluctant to give in to this demand as it will affect their votebanks.mandal 1 recommdtn are based on 1931 census and can you believe it is being used in 2006!
the other demand is to have economic criteria as the basia of reservation and creamy layer to be excluded.the above mentioned demands are very rational and i would conratulate the docs of india for taking the initiative and leading the fight to save the country from being doomed.moral victory is already theirs.
following a middle path is only a temporary fix.the whole issue still remais alive.this is just like takung aspirin for fever without striking at the roots.
it is my earnest appeal to all to help this movement become a mass movement as it would affect each one of us and not only the docs.

It sad to see government sitting quite and not budging even a bit for all the protests students are doing. The comments given by arjun singh is pathetic. They behave like all mighties. the whole problem is that this movement has to gain more momentum, down in south Iam sure little people are even know much about it, we should try to reach each and every educated youth in india and have a big rally all over india in the same day and stump the government. The message should reach every one of us, just few elite students fighting day and night won’t save the cause, We need every one. Y4E Please try to organize a way for this. We will all join u.

I think its high time and we,as responsible citizens should teach these politicians for what they have done.I completely support the cause.
I think if sc/st cant help their situation in 55 years they cant even if they are given full reservation for even next 100 years.I think Diljit(D.J. of Rang De Basanti)have shown us the way.
These politicains are self centered puppets who are under their supreme commander’s are even ready to sell India. These handful of politicians cant decide future of 100 billion people.I think it is enough that we have taken this route of non violence.
We had have enough of this.We should have a complete nation bandh comprising all medical facilities to be terminated for a week(including the chemist and the private clinics,hospitals)..i think nothing will be done till we make this agitation a complete national fight..even bismilla ji said”behro ko sunaane ke liye dhamake ki zaroorat hoti hai”..hope for the best..may this be a fruitful and successful event..its our life..give our rights or we will snatch it

Freedom was faught by the intellectuals only, whose main aim was to liberate the country. now few politicians are educated, and the aim to be rich while becoming a politician. Can the non educated has got the same aims as the educated ones. education gives the sense of broader aspect rather than the tunnel vision of the non educated, corrupt politicians. i am with all the young intellectuals of india and am proud of them.

we humbly request the government to atleast spare the premier institutes(AIIMS, IIMs, IITs etc.,) from the clutches of reservation. Otherwise the youth and the future of the nation will lose the competitive spirit. These institutes act as yard sticks for the progress of the nation. They set as an example to emulate by every other institute. Reserving in these institutes amounts to reserving the post of prime minister.

hi friends its ridiculous what these politicians are doing to our generation.all these oldies with their end nearing them are bent upon spoiling the future of india which is gonna last six seven decades.i know they r not gonna budge if we continue our protests like these but we have to strategise our plans.we have to hit them where it pains to them the most and thats there vote bank.i think we should float a political party (which is alredy taking shape:youth for equality)if all of us general catagory students and there parents vow to vote only for our candidates then only we can change this reservation thing .the least we can do is play spoilsport for the congress were ever its in an election mode.i’m from punjab and so therefore with elections within 8 months i feel we can make these white haired octagarian mischief mongers really gittery(although my CM dye’s his hair jet black trying to be a 25 yr old) .i really am frustrated with our political system.JUST VOTE FOR YOUTH FOR EQUALITY! i think they should really think about fielding candidates aganist the political parties both bjp and congress and spoil there party.the other day i heard RAHUL GANDHI speaking pro reservation , yeah yeah . he knows that his own seat is reserved for a lifetime,’ why the hell should i worry ?’, ‘let ‘me’ play the messiah of the poor and the downtrodden from AC cars and i have my job security’.rahul gandhi doesn’t have the right to speak like this on reservation.hit the parties where it hurts most there vote bank. ‘mohna’ yaar apna PM ! he has maintained silence on the issue like he has never spoken in his life .it only shows his helplessness to make his voice hear in the cabinet.internally i’m surely he must be cringing his teeth over arjun’s move.that baldy …. what can i say he is so miserably old and with his crackling posture(hahaha) how can he decide the future of so many general catagory children. god help congress .i and my family r gonna vote against it.VOTE FOR :YOUTH FOR EQUALITY please please float this party yaar it would be so nice kicking there a**es out of these office where they have been rotting for the last 59 or so yrs since independnce.

Congress/PM is saying that they are ready to talk but on the other hand they are saying that the reservation quota will be implemented, and they will not back tracked. Further I would like to use this plateform to apeal all petrotic people who want the development of country that they should join the strike all offices, institutes, industires etc should join this movement and stalled the whole government and functions.

politicians are paying deaf ear to the on going movement against reservations, reason they are worrier about the vote bank. obc’s constitute only 32% of the general population. If we can make the remaining 78% join hands in support of this movement; i guess we will shake the chairs of all the stubborn politician.

reserving seats for higher studies is not a good decision by the government. first the government must improve their basic primary education standards. their level of understanding english is poor!(no pun intended;its a fact from my own experience) i see people who can’t understand many english words in medical books. they will sit with a dictionary open beside them. they can’t communicate properly. they will face definite problems in future. so it will be better if the government first take steps to improve their standard of education. then everyone will face a healthy competition and no biasness

DOCS AND WOULD BE DOCS…CONGRATES.I’M CONGRATULATING YOU ALL FOR YOUR AUDACITY TO STAND UP AGAINST THE SO CALLLED ‘CONSPIRACY’ TO DIVIDE THE ‘FUTURE OF INDIA ‘IN THE NAME OF CAST ‘BY INCREASING THE RESERVED SEATS FOR OTHER BACKWARD CASTS.AND THE LEVEL OF SUPPORT YOU ARE GETTING FROM EVERY CORNER OF THE COYNTRY IS TRUELY OUTSTANDING.EVERY YOUTH EXCEPT THE PARTY WORKERS IS SUPPORTING YOU.MORAL SUPPORT OF MINE IS ALSO WITH YOU. BUT GUYS, I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS WHOSE ANSWEWRS I’M DEMNDING FROM ALL OF YOU.
ARE WE REALLY TRYING TO FIND OUT THE REAL REASON BEHIND THE SO CALLED INJUSTICE? WHAT ARE WE PROTESTING AGAINST? THE QUOTA HIKING OR QUOTA ITSELF.
THE RULE OF RESERVED SEATS ARE THERE FOR 60 YEARS SINCE INDEPENDENCE.AND IT IS STILL THERE.AND IT’LL BE THERE.
SUPPOSE,GOVERNMENT AGREES TO THE DEMAND OF NOT HIKING THE NUMBER OF RESERVED SEATS.THEN WHAT? THIS NATIONWIDE AGITATION WILL BE POSTPONED AND EVERYBODY WILL RETURN TO THEIR CAREER PATH.
BUT WILL THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM BE REMOVED? NO SIR, IT CAN’T BE…IT’LL NEVER BE.BECAUSE THE REAL PROBLEM IS NOT THE HIKING OF SEATS.THE REAL PROBLEM IS THOSE PEOPLE WHO,TAKING THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY FOR GRANTED,RULED THIS COUNTRY NOT JUST AT UNION LEVEL ALSO IN STATE LEVEL FOR NEARLY 60 YEARS.THE REAL PROBLEM LIES THERE ,FRIENDS. AND THIS PROBLEM HAS NUMEROUS FACES INCLUDING EVERY PROBLEM IN OUR COUNTRY.THIS TIME WE ARE MAKING DISPUTE BECAUSE THE ISSUE HAS DIRECT CONNECTION TO US. SO WHAT ARE WE IN REALITY? ….SELF-CENTERED…..
WHEN IT COMES TO US AS A HINDRANCE IN OUR CAREER PATH ONLY THEN IT IS DISPUTABLE.
FRIENDS, AREN’T WE DECEIVING OURSELVES?
SO,MY DEAR FRIENDS, PLEASE STAND UP AGAINST THE REAL INJUSTICE DONE TO THE PEOPLE OF INDIA.WE ARE PART OF THIS COUNTRY. THERE ARE CRORES OF PROBLEMS AND INJUSTICE HAVING GREATER IMPORTANCE THAN THE ISSUE WE ARE FIGHTING FOR.OUR QUESTION SHOULDN’T BE ABOUT HIKING THE SEATS RATHER IT SHOULD BE ‘WHY THERE IS PROVISION FOR RESERVED SEATS? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR 60 YEARS? WHY EVERY PEOPLE OF INDIA DOESN’T GET EQUAL PRIVILEGE INCLUDING HEALTH SERVICE,EDUCATION AND WORK? AND WHY THERE ARE SC/ST AND OTHER BACKWORD CASTS STILL THERE?
WHY HAVEN’T WE BEEN ABLE TO PERISH THE BAREERS AFTER 60 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE?
ANSWERS LIE WITHIN US.QUESTION YOURSELF FRIENDS.YOU’LL GET ANSWER.
