While declaring that he is not in the least terrified by the new woman, Vijay wishes that society should make it a point of retaining what he calls normal women, the one’s which come with wit, feminine reserve, dignity, grace and other such endearing qualities.
Interesting post, but I have a feeling that the women who do not count as normal, would perhaps not be amused by it.

Let me clarify that the piece was written by J.B. Priestley, and not me. I merely copied the same from an old book — a collection of essays.
However, I find myself nodding to the views expressed by him.

Cant understand why you would link to a piece like this. Firstly, all the blogger has done is put up a piece by another author. (With credit ofcourse) But no analysis of his own. Secondly, its an old, out-dated, Victorian-minded piece with no relevance today

At the time of linking, it was not made sufficiently clear that the essay was an old one from J. B. Priestley. I was under the impression, that Vijay himself wrote it.
In any case, the post came across as interesting, with a good potential for a debate in the comments section, irrespective of who wrote it, and I was more than obliged to do the honors.

It’s my mistake. I should have placed the source at the beginning of the post. Rather, in the first draft, it was posted at the end. Not until it was pointed out did I realise it myself. Sincere apologies.
