The recently released India online 2006 survey has revealed that of the 21.4 million net users* in Indian a staggering 85% (that’s roughly 18 million people) regularly check blogs.

I strongly doubt that the Indian blog readership can be so high (85% of Indian net users). The awareness about blogging is still quite low in India. The US can be used as a benchmark in such issues. The latest report published in the US states that 37% of US net users read or write blogs. My guess is that 10 – 20% of Indian net users would be reading blogs regularly.
