The Mad Momma on the role of grandparents in raising (and spoiling) the kids.
Mum was busy with some business associates so Dad took his 15 month old grandson to lunch. Yes. Alone. No maid, no high chair, no bib, no harness, no toys. Nothing. Very brave. They came back an hour and a half later, grandson grinning ear to ear and grandfather looking like he had been beaten to death. Apparently lunch began well enough… the waiters cleared the table and let him drum on it with two spoons. The restaurant was not too full so nobody objected to the noise. The trouble began when the food arrived. There was a difference in opinion. Grandson wanted to feed grandpa and grandpa thought he should feed grandson. They ended up feeding each other by hand and a lot of food didn’t make it into the other’s mouth.
