well first of all our country is rocked by scams of all sorts.
the politicians and police are in nexus. the politicians eat all of the money paid through tax. they import inferior products which causes accidents . there are very few people in india who are not corrupt. india i think will never shine. what we see today as growth is actually madness. true growth occurs at grass root level. starting from villlage then to the city. What we are witnessing today is every 5 hours a farmer commit suicide. this way we will never be a great country. Our politicans are responbile for the state of affairs. There are lot of examples which i can give . starting from the demolition drive in delhi. person who do not have any political links there houses are razed to the ground but anyone who is a relation to a minister or mla he is free to flout the rules. There is no check on migration of people from bihar and up to punjab or delhi. this has considerably lead to increase in law and order situation in our country. poor people scheduled castes are vote banks for politicians. these people should be educated . but no such system has been undertaken. on the last day of elections politicans donate food, clothes money to these people to get votes. an educated person is a mere silent witness to this madness.

Sorry Thennavan if I came across as rude. I'm pretty sure that I mentioned above that your geograqphical distribution idea was excellant. I still stand by that.
Sorry to hear that you are unable to keep it up - probably the sheer volume of responses show that it is probably a job for more than one person. And as with the wiki desipundit thing it is better that it is the responsibility of enthusiastic bloggers to update the list rather than one person carrying the load. I just wanted to make the point that it is a limited list as it has not been updated in quite a while.

30in2005, guilty as charged and if it is no more "excellent", it is due to my onerous other duties other than maintaining my ChennaiCentral blog. At least it used to be "excellent" and concept wise probably still is. One thing is that throughout 2005, it was an individual effort on my part helped my Magnus Astrum Anand during the closing months of 2005. That is unlike other fine group services (like DesiPundit for example) where there are many hands to fall upon in carrying out the purpose of the site.

Patrix, thanks for mentioning Indibloggers in the update and didn't see it until now.

Thennavan's site which is http://indibloggers.blogspot.com/ has not bee updated since November 2005. He has 12 bloggers listed for all of the UK when I can think of at least 40 more off the top of my head. And despite having left numerous comments (244 - I think counts as gigantic, not just numerous, for the blogworld) there has been no update. So kindly remove the word 'excellent' when you describe this list in your sticky post (above). The geographical distribution is an excellent idea no doubt, but it's use has been far from.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Ashish,A separate sub-page has been created for Indic blogs.

Spock, the blogging tips are already wiki-ized on our site. See the left sidebar (Blog On section)

Amit, RSS Feed column has been added as well.

Brilliant idea guys. You are stars.

Can I throw in a suggestion - How about adding one more column to the wiki that says "Blog RSS feed".

This may help later when we want to build an OPML directory of Indian blogs or something like that.

Neat! It will be good if you can update the wiki with howto's on blogging, like editing blog templates, tips and tricks targeting new bloggers like me.

That's good idea. I wonder if you are interested in vernacular blogs too? If yes, then it would be nice to have their page separately (by language) for easy reference.
