Another Plagiarizer Caught
The desi Blogsphere can’t seem to have enough of them, those who have no respect for intellectual property and steal shamelessly from other bloggers. Today, while doing a technorati search, I came across this blog which has stolen content from a lot of bloggers. Mind you, all A-listers, nothing less will do for this man. Well known bloggers like Amit Varma, Amardeep Singh, Jai Arjun Singh, Gaurav Sabnis and Rashmi Bansal. And I bet plenty more. Head over to ”his” blog and check if you are among the ”chosen few”.
Why do people do such things? If Internet makes it easy to steal content, it’s even easier to catch offenders.
Anyway, the said bloggers have been notified. Since the gentleman has not bothered to even put up a mail id in his profile, the only course left is to contact Blogger and Ad-Sense.
Update- Jai Arjun Singh points to this post by a blogger called Khozem Sahiwala which has been lifted verbatim from an article in the Business Standard. Though he was told to remove the post(via mails) he has not (yet) bothered to reply.

It’s amazing how he’s lifted whole reviews without even bothering to tweak the sentences around. MOre carelessly still, he hasn’t even changed the links around: in his ‘review’ of the Oliver stone film, which he’s lifted From Jai, the link to United 93 leads to Jai’s blog! (which I reviewed here, he says!)
A plagiariser is always pathetic. One who expects that no one will ever read his blog and catch him out is paavam.

Is it ‘plaigirizer’ or ‘plagiarist’?
Lifting conetnt from other blogs is copyright violation for sure, but the guy doesn’t seem interested in taking ‘credit’ for the posts. He is either clipping, as ‘:)’ says above, or targeting Adsense money. In both cases, he is being very stupid. But if he was looking at hits, Desipundit just obliged him, as it does every attention-seeking blogwhore

Shivam,
Both are correct. See here.
Yes, there was a little debate on whether a link should be given or not. But I don’t think he is going to make too much money just because DP gave him a link, it will(hopefully) serve as a warning to others-that you can get caught.

Some dude tried to Plagiarize Gaurav’s Blog? The dude surely has weird tastes…
Gives me a bit of a shudder though…We cant have two much of a good thing… A-listers? You mean we have started classifying desi-bloggers now? Wow ! though it beats me on what parameters one would do so…

Every one finds a way to suck up. Some does by copying posts, others by classifying bloggers. Good work both of you !
