India’s Online Content
Nautanki.tv, offers short pieces on a fixed schedule, with a number of different channels and archives available on demand. It all streams via a flash player, and is ad-supported. Plans include expanding the programming to include Gujarati, Malayalam, Tamil, Telegu and Bengali language channels. A share of advertising goes directly to the producers, and they’re even looking to reach WAP devices — giving them access to mobile customers who may not have broadband at home or work.
NewTeeVee has an interesting post on how smart media companies are harnessing the power of the Internet. Though it remains to be seen if their models are financially sustainable.

“Hat Tip-Sunil”? But the excerpt you quote is about Sunil’s own venture, as would be clear by glancing at his blog.

Shivam,
Thanks, you are right. The tip off wasn’t clear about that. I have removed the Hat Tip.

Shivam and Pundits in general. My apologies for not understanding this Hat Tip system. The intent was not to act smart or buck the system. It is just one of those things that happen when you are trying to do 24 things in the same minute.
Cheers

please let it be on record. if you check your archives, i had informed the powers that be here about nautanki about two weeks ago and had provided the blog link but had NOT asked for a hat-tip. since i too am part of that blog.
