Madrasi Chicks, Hens And Someone’s Foot In The Mouth

Whether tongue-in-cheek or a voracious appetite for feet, Saket Vaidya writes a post, prompting Sriram to set the record straight by stating that Saket’s post is racist and chauvinistic. Hawkeye at Lightning Strikes Everyday talks about stereotyping

It is self-worth ladies and gentlemen. The analienable weakness of human beings to crave for self-worth. A primitive want – to feel that they are better than somebody else. The somebody-else could be anybody. You needn’t have met them. It could be black people, white people, people who dont dress very well, telegu heroes who wear yellow shirts, H1B parties, people who do arranged-marriages, Bengalis, north indians who do not speak English very well, south indians who dont speak hindi very well, cigarette smokers, people who are religious, atheists, suspect atheists, people who live in joint families – anybody. You are so desperate to find that one stereotype who will make you feel better than what you actually are.

For the record, I’d like to reiterate that I believe in free speech, but given the post, please feel free to flame Saket! (Am not going to link to the post because it ruined my appetite.)

“Stereotypes are devices for saving a biased person the trouble of learning
- some wise person
very disappointing and a pathetic attempt at humor (if that is what it was)

And “The sweeping generalization award of the week” goes to Saket.
The pathetic part is that he’s enjoying all the attention.

Luckily this was a contest for college chicks. If it was for married women then probably the punjabi kudis would need a new category — punjabi bhains/buffalo . Somehow after shaadi when the first Bunty or Jassi is born those girls balloon into tanker trucks.
Oh wait, am genereally speaking ok? lol. Every state mistakenly thinks they are the best.

Saket/Vulturo,
Assure you its all tongue-firmly-in-cheek.

Have fun,

Fuck !!!! DP contributors are going bonkers day by day. The detoriation which started on DP has now spread to their individual blogs. DP claims that their contributors have a mind of their own and can write what they desire, but I fell that some of them have empty spaces for minds…

Saket, What is that makes you think that you are a cut above the rest of the bloggers? And what actually makes you a ‘desi blogger’, when you have brain-drained to the US and land up once in a while here to complain that India hasn’t changed a bit ? You are the immature kind who argues that burning the American flag is the coolest think you can do to express freedom…

Saket, looks like you have visited “Madarasi porn sites” more than you have visited Madras. And you take a stupid contest seriously, visit it, view all the babes photos and write a comemntary on it that sucks mighty…

Freedom of Expression? Tounge-in-cheek? Hey, would you call your aunt a whore and claim this as FoE or TiC? Its time you learnt the difference.

Hey, if you feeling blogburnt, take a break. Indian blogosphere will never miss you.

Somehow I get the impression that the average IQ of DP right now is around 13 or 14. Or is it the total ?

You are right. We are all idiotic clods. Happy? And your math seems good too. Boost is the secret of your energy?

Donthecat, jokes apart, remember that ability to comment on a blog is a privilege not a right. Read the ‘policy on comments’ below the submit again. I know you read it before now read and understand it.

karthik, be kind to donthecat. so he does not know how to spell “tongue” and misspelt it several times as “tounge” on this page. even george bush has trouble wrestling with the english language. but donthecat is better than bush. check out his pic here. can bush carry off a paunch and a 2 decade old hairdo with such elan?

donthecat is our new thalaivar.

why do folks who leave comments like the one above never leave an email ID or a weblink?

MHAI>Dude or Dudette or whatever you are. Thanks for the dictionary lessons. I’m forever indebted to you for pointing out my simple typo. You be an English Prof or something ? I’m impressed….

btw, unlike your faceless comments, the nick in mine are linked to that pic through a simple thing we call an embedded URL. I guess DP readers are savvy enough to know that without you giving them lessons and guidance. You should stick to spell-checks – your expertise is recogonised more in that field.

About that hairstyle, have you heard of themed parties? Or you planning to revive the pony-tail bashing that was popularised last year by some ‘elite’ bloggers?

And Bush…ha… you should talk to Vulturo about this. He is the American in ‘Desi’ Pundit.

plebian don, a typo is when a mistake happens once in a while. when you keep fuckin up the spelling, it’s obvious your schooling had holes in it. it’s ok. you have our sympathies. we will even buy your theme party excuse for being so ugly. :)
