Looking for a Movie Blog Journalist

We are looking for a blog journalist to write an exclusive blog on a movie while it is in production. By we, I mean DesiPundit and Deevee Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. This is a paid stint and we use the word ‘journalist’ loosely. If you love movies and blogging, you qualify.

Prakash (few of my readers know him as Smiley) is co-producing a Telugu movie. It is his first and he is planning to make a series of movies. To quote him ” We are into the business of storytelling…we will explore/create different mediums to tell the story to as many people as possible.”

He shared with me the idea of starting a movie blog which is more along the lines of the story of the storytellers (see Peter Jackson’s Kong is King), to provide exclusive content and access to every part of the film making to readers.

Prakash thinks it is fun and interesting to watch how humans converge and focus their energies towards one common goal of telling the story that they all liked. I share his passion and love for experiments in the new and emerging media of blogs. DesiPundit is always willing to promote quality and innovative content especially distributed via the blog medium. Of course, movie blogging has been tried before in India but has never gone beyond the couple of posts (inundated by crappy comments by readers) made by top actors of the movie only to be ignored later. Although experimental in nature, we hope we can reinvent that and make movie blogging an enjoyable and learning experience for fans.

The title of the movie is Satyabhama, starring Bhumika Chawla and Shivaji. It is a Telugu movie and is already under production. Satyabhama – The Movie Blog is located at DesiPundit which doubles up as a media partner. The site is currently under construction and blogging will begin in the right earnest soon. A press conference is organized next week for announcing the movie and the blog. Now, we need someone for a title thats never created before in India – A “Professional Blog Journalist”. If you are from Hyderabad (we would be flattered if you relocate), have decent writing skills (slightly on the humorous side), and are interested in movies, this opportunity is priceless. You will get access to the sets, director, actors, technicians and staff meals for the entire schedule of the movie (during the month of March & April.) Yeah, you will get to meet the stars and interview them. You will blog on what’s happening on a daily basis.

If you are good enough, you will end up getting pictures and interviews that are exclusive and sensational. The Satyabhama Movie Blog will be as good as you want it to be. It would be your baby and we’ll merely help to gather content and iron out the technical kinks.

Finally, you will be paid to do the job, if you want to call it that.

What are you waiting for? Say hello and send in your blog links (or resumes or past writings) to prakashd [at] gmail [dot] com or patrix [at] desipundit [dot] com. If you know someone who doesn’t blog but fits the mold perfectly, this can be a perfect opportunity to start blogging. Send them our regards, a link to this post, and a kick in the rear to get on the blogging bandwagon.

I love movies, but not all the crap we produce in our country. Currently run a blog on films, in Hindi(cilema). Have a look. Let me know if you find my effort of any sense and meaning.

Just checked your blog. Looks like a good one. Unfortunately, my Hindi reading abilities are quiet limited. All the best. :)

Isn’t one of your columnists, Shripriya, a movie blogger/aspiring director/etc? Maybe you should ask her to do it?
