Two of my favorite women bloggers are going through a I-hate-all-men phase.
First, Ideasmith is in her usual fiery dragon-like male-bashing mode, as she writes about why women love bad boys –
The trouble is that Bad Boys are not just badly behaved little boys, they’re the ones who never grew up because they couldn’t. Why are we assuming that we can make them grow up when their mums didn’t?
Then, compulsive confessor eM is in an uncharacteristically anti-male mood as she busts five common male myths about women -
Why is it so hard to understand that women might be commitment-phobic too? I want to be in a relationship, yes, but these are things I will only figure out after I’ve spent some time with you, after like a couple of months of hanging and getting to know each other. And just because YOU suddenly want to date and have all these rosy ideals by like day six, doesn’t mean I’m going to jump at the offer. And to express surprise at this: “But I thought you wanted to be in a relationship” will just mean that I will run even further and yes, no.
And, while you are at it, also check out Sakshi’s advice to potential suitors –
Don’t talk about Mom in the first fifteen minutes of meeting. Sure she must be the best thing since sliced bread in your world, in mine she is the major deflating button. And please don’t talk about kids either – unless you have one. I don’t want to think you are dating me for my ovaries.
Anti-male rants are such sublime amusement!

Thats a nice round-up!
In contrast the male attitude is nicely summed up by Jason in American Pie: when he wakes up in the morning (after his first time on prom night) and finds himself alone in bed he says, “I’ve been used”, and then says it again, this time with a happy grin.

@ Kiran: My theory is that men find it easier to like women that the other way round. I’m not sure if that’s because women are more likable or because men make fewer demands.

Actually, I didn’t find any of the clips to be anti-male. The first is a complaint about “bad boys”, the second and third were specific complaints/advice related to situations the authors experienced.

@ Mainson: Well, if I wrote one of those, nobody will think twice before labeling me a misogynist, but that’s not even the point. I linked to them because they are funny rants; you did like reading them, didn’t you?
@ MG: Many thanks.
