Nearly all of us all over the world have read and followed the story of the shooting spree at Virginia Tech. Our thought and prayers are with the Virginia Tech community. Arzan writes about a friend, Minal Panchal, who was one of the 32 individuals killed yesterday.

Such tragedy cause senseless pain and loss all around the world, all we can do is renounce violence in our personal lives in order to make the world a better place.

Today 157 people were killed in Iraq. May be some others were murdered in Kashmir and a few hundred lost their lives to hunger in Africa.

No eyebrows are raised about that ! No CNN headlines - no countless blogs - no orkut communities.

What hollow people the western civilization has become ! How hollow we have become !
