Saw One in New York

I was down in New York for New Years eve 2004. I remember watching a bunch of people run through a park in Brooklyn in what seemed like a midnight marathon. I only stayed to see 10 or 15 people run by. They had numbers on and everything. The folks at Bangalore (or where-ever it is this marathon was run) may want to check up on that.

Not the first.

As Charles points out here:

There has been one in Canada since 1996.
