yeah right, very smart are’nt you. You seem to have missed the point. We are definitely doing something wrong. The air in Mumbai or Delhi is simply unbreathable which is not the case in any big american city.
Well… the point is not that India does not do anything to curb the pollution. But deals such as these would but developing nations in the back seat straight away – to give you an example – most of the power that will be generated in India will come from second hand power stations bought from Europeans / Americans (which are inefficient)& the deal suggests trading of green points. So the Western countries will have brand new power stations that will deliver power with lower emissions while countries such as India will be emitting over limits & will have to buy green points – So you end up paying the West for the problem the West have created.
