Sivaji review

The movie opens anonymously, literally. We see a man driven to jail and is instructed by a police officer to cover his face lest people see his face and go wild. But, since we are not exactly Klingons, we all know who he is. A few minutes later, when he turned around for the first time, all of us knew why we were there today. A multitude of whistles rose up almost in one and the ride began. Well, what a ride it was. More than three hours later, we walked out, thoroughly spent physically, throats dry and hoarse.

Anantha reviews S.Shankar’s Sivaji, starring Rajnikanth.

Update: Baradwaj Rangan cannot understand why Sivaji producers with all their crores couldn’t spare some for a script.

I watched Sivaji & was extremely disappointed. i am not a Rajni fan, but i like the way Shankar Makes his movies. But to my surprise, i could not see shankar’s touch anywhere. The very thought of just having Rajni is enough, nothing else matters is ridiculous !!!! Simply a film without any logic. They are fooling around.
Very loose script, lots of illogical scenes & action blocks forms Sivaji. Atleast i expected comedy to be better, even that is digusting. What sort of comedy scenes are those ????? After BOYS, this is the worst film Shankar has ever made. Very Disappointed with Shankar !!!

It is shanker’s worst film. Rajini has tried very hard to hide his age, but it shows specially in the nayanthara song sequence. The comedy is very poor & as for the script – is there one? Sujatha is the dialogue writer? cannot beleive that.

No wonder the film has started falling in the B & C centres. It is sutsianing in chennai alone.
