7. Aise to na dekho (Teen Deviyan, 1965): There’s a reason Rafi was put on this earth, and that was to give shape to these transcendental, borderline-religious expressions of romantic yearning. If there ever was a song that required you to turn off the lights and lie back and just soak up its lovelorn vibes, this one’s it – and the longish, molten-gold segue from mukhda back to antara is one of the most exquisite bridges ever constructed.
