Go for it if you loved Main Hoon Na. Go for it even if you didnt like Main Hoon Na. Just go to have a great laugh. Films that we love, stars whom we hate, stereotypes that we cant do without….its all there. The not so great actor but the biggest star of bollywood has finally dared to laugh at himself. You should not miss out.
Passion for Cinema loves Om Shanti Om. Promises to be a fun-filled movie.
‘A large student gathering’ and disappointing music notwithstanding, Neha, an ardent Bollywood lover has a blast watching the movie.
A lot of these initial portions play as if Farah Khan wanted to spoof our earlier filmmaking conventions – and so long as that seems to be the intent, Om Shanti Om chugs along merrily (if somewhat aimlessly). But then the director appears to change her mind. Suddenly, we are in a film that’s no longer simply taking potshots of the movies of the time, but one that’s actually being made along those lines, in all seriousness.
Baradwaj says, the barely-OK potboiler promises much but delivers little.

What on earth do you mean by “The not so good actor, but the biggest..” You gotta be kidding me. What makes you believe that he isn’t a good actor? Which role have you seen him not justify? Don’t blame him if they give him crappy films like ‘Main Hoon Na’ every once in a while

what a whole lot of crap…dont call it movie..just and award night or entertainment show..some says watch it but dont ask KAB, KAHAN, KYU..but isnt that just what makes man differ from animals? sorry i cant part with my brains at will..try ur luck if u can..SRK is going megalomaniac…if somebody thinks he is a great actor..they know nothing about acting…Amir is good for a start.. barely knows he is acting…with SRK its a struggle..obituaries OSO..

Worth a watch once but certainly not at all worth all the hype that was created around it. One more review here – http://telljeeves.blogspot.com/2007/11/just-arbit-o-so-much-hype.html

Please do not waste your time and money watching this movie. It is crap. SRK’s acting is terrible. The movie was boring and the story was silly. Please do not watch on big screen..you will fall asleep. Wait for DVD or VCD.

Well…as long as we continue to eulogise our movie stars who gyrate their hips and kick 20 goons single-handedly and justify it as entertainment, desiwood will continue to dole out such trash. I havent seen the movie, in fact dont think I ever will, so I’m being generic.
Its not that we dont have talent. I guess an SRK or Kamal or Salman or Surya can do some classy roles if given a chance. Nopes, they just want to continue kickin goons and doing epileptic looking actions.
I used to work for PentaMedia and so been exposed to the technology that’s available here… and at a much lower cost than Hollywood. Yet, we dont experiment…dont deviate. We continue to dole out crap in 1000s outta which not one reaches the Oscars.
I know its maybe improper to compare, but I’ve been down with virals and so got some time last week to watch movies on Sony Max and my laptop. Movies like The Wicker Man, Salton Sea, Future Sport just to name a few for diversity outta the 40+ I must’ve seen. I was left with one major question- Why? Just why aren’t we able to produce diverse fare with new storylines? We have the tech, the looks, the talent and a huge audience. But…
Whether its Sivaji or OSO, we justify the crap by saying its an entertainer, dont search for a storyline just enjoy it etc. And so we continue to be fed with junk…
Gotta crash…
