Bye Bye and Thanks for all the Paperclips

There is something extremely tempting about reading somebody’s resignation letter no? (Termination letters are better but we all can’t be working in sub-prime mortgages can we?)

Pradeep, who authors a rather articulate blog, leaves a copy of his farewell email online. It should connect with a lot of corporate types me thinks.

There comes a time when you realize that there is a mismatch between your vision and that of the company, and then it is time to move on. Living in one’s comfort zone for the sake of stability may not be the best way to live, at least during early years of one’s career.

It is a curious mix of restrained criticism and measured gratitude. (Most profound sentence by me in 2007.)

Also a classier farewell email than the one I wrote last time which evoked a more warm ambience due to copious references to HR’s parent and one neighbour.

A similar, much older but hilarious blog post on the same topic is here: Random key strokes. People who liked this one may also love that.
