The wait staff are one of the most abused in the service industry, and in general. They are abused by customers and by the management. They considered completely expendable, and hence have no job security. Its the worst here in Texas.
I’m sure you have ranted on some errant waiter when you have visited a restaurant. Semantic Overload talks with a guy manning the bar counter and comes back with horror stories of gross exploitation. Most wait staff in the town I live in are students who are working to pay through college.
