Of hearing TV anchors and correspondents say Player X has been “bought” by this industrialist, or Player Y has been “sold to” that film star for Z crore, plus or minus a few lakhs. Yes, it happens in other sports, but should suits and celebs be haggling about a cricketer’s worth like my mother haggles about bhendi or badanekayi?
This guest author at Churumuri then goes on to compare IPL players to call girls. What the…? Perhaps it is a question of semantics or we have to get used to the concept of professional sports.

wow.. i cant believe desi pundit would publish such bullsh*t…
comparing players to prostitutes ?!?!?!
the auther goes on to state that the player like the prostitute has absloutely no emotional attachement towards the owner. Now thats like saying that a Gerrard has absolutely no attachment towards liverpool?? or that henry left arsenal just for money..
lots of similar analogies drawn in this hugely amatuer article..
what the hell, why am i complaining, its not like i paid for it..

arre baba, DesiPundit doesn’t publish bullshit, we merely link to it (sometimes). And we don’t agree with all posts we link to. The link is just an indicator of what’s out there. I guess you didn’t read my take after the link.

The way the anchors were going on, it definitely sounded dirty. Like this was (gasp) prostitution, and girls were being auctioned.
Sorry, maybe its got something to do with my age.
