Morality in the Age of Mobile

If denial was the clothing of morality, hypocrisy was its jewelry. It was the crowning achievement. Rich were happy sinners: we wanted to be like them. Poor were happy beggars: we envied them.

Helloji on the changing morality of the middle class in India [hat tip: No Name Girl]. I wouldn’t be that pessimistic for I’ve seen plenty of changes for the better and things are definitely better than in the past; but then isn’t that always?
