Mekhala wonders whether new-age beauty treatments like crystal facials have any scientific basis. The bigger question in my mind is why newspapers mindlessly, and gushingly, report about practitioners of such questionable treatments, providing them with free advertisement and credibility.

Wow. Is she really talking about birefringence and piezo-electricity? Blossom, I belong to the earth and am thoroughly natural too. And I can transmit and transform energy too! Why, oh why, am I not beautiful or stress-relieved?
