Darjeeling Limited Review
Runa gets to watch Darjeeling Limited, which recently came out on DVD.
For once, the caricature is not of Indians or India. Rather all the lampooning is of the American trio as they travel through India in search of spiritual salvation armed with laminated (!) itineraries. I like the way Anderson has explored themes of sibling rivalry and contentious relationships with parents.
I was quite taken with the lush look of this movie when the trailers first came out. But I was discouraged by a Slate article on the “unbearable whiteness” of Wes Anderson’s movies.

Sqrl, yeah I know, I have no clue why I wrote ‘unlimited’! Anyway, thanks for spotting that, I’ve fixed it now.
