Tempting Trickery of Technology

Pradeep shares some of his thoughts on how technology has tricked us into thinking we save time.

I tend to agree with his reflections. Now a days it’s not just our employers who require us to multitask, we also are requiring this from ourselves, outside of work. Proving this, just think how common to see people doing more than one thing at once- and usually the additional task has something to do with gadgets like computers, cell phones, GPS, blackberry, cameras, video games, and the list goes on…

We say life is now easier with technology, because the time we used to take to do various chores has got shorter. What used to take 1 hour now takes a few minutes; what used to take a few days, can now be accomplished in a few hours. Where we had to put in a lot of effort, we now need to put in much less.  But I think, the ease with which we are able to do things, has ironically, only made life more complicated.
