I push my way past the jewelery counter, the New Releases rack and past the music section. Voila!! What’s a celebrity without the crowd? Archer has succeeded in drawing the mob to the store on a weekday. It’s so crowded that people are stepping on each other’s toes even among the magazines racks that signal the start of that heaven that is Landmark’s book section.
Ideasmith shares her experience (and pictures) on meeting Jeffery Archer at a bookstore in Mumbai. I expected better pictures but guess cell phone cameras cannot be compared to the real thing and words should suffice, right?

Sorry about the pics. I realized only later that I should have carried my camera as well. My bechara little cellphone was no match for the crowd that pushed me to the very back. Still, I did get one good shot of Archer up close (courtesy the very helpful Landmark staffers).
