Child abuse in India

Reading Pinki Virani’s “Bitter Chocolate: Child Sexual Abuse in India” prompts Mekhala  to start thinking about child abuse in India.  She makes some interesting points.

So, who is responsible in this case? The parents. They should teach the kid not to implicitly trust anyone. Not to accept anything that the child dislikes. To immediately report any such thing to a parent. And in turn, the parent should not turn a deaf ear to what the child says.
