Mango recipes

It’s summer and desis in the US are jealous of their relatives in the desh pigging out on all kinds of aam! The US recently lifted it ban on mango imports from India, but Santosh points out that rigorous regulations have resulted in each mango costing as much as $3.

Meanwhile, Arundati is hosting the May Mango madness edition of Weekend Breakfast Blogging, and has a round-up of yummy mango recipes from a bunch of enthusiastic food-bloggers, ranging from drinks (lassis, shakes, smoothies, aamras) to desserts (cakes, scones, pancakes, puddings, custard, aamrakhand) to salads to jams, pickles and chutneys. Some creative folks even experimented with mango pohas and upamas!
