A man may fight all his battles outside but the one raging within his own house is probably the one that tests him the most. Jamshed V Rajan takes a stoic look at the group dynamics of a married man’s family.
If my mother and wife have had a fight, I will know by 7.00 p.m. itself. Both my mother and my wife will call me at office and check when I will be home. Armed with the knowledge that the night was going to be stressful and long, I will enter the house by 9 p.m.
The dinner will be a disaster. Since both the kitchen queens were pre-occupied, they forget to bring to the dining table two of the dishes that were prepared for the evening. The situation worsens if both the dishes were prepared by one individual, for a conspiracy theory is attached to the miss.

A stupid post narrated by a MCP … It’s hardly surprising that most of the people ROFLing were men … wonder what this post is doing on Desi Pundit.

@ Anonymous: At DesiPundit we feature posts that are interesting for various reasons. I’m a woman, one that’s been described as a staunch feminist even. Yet, I found the post quite funny. I don’t think taking a stand on any issue means being unable to see its lighter side occasionally. I also don’t think that it was the author’s intention to offend anyone.
Thank you for commenting!

@IS,
Thanks for your response. I did not mean to say that I found the post offensive. I am a woman but I wouldn’t call myself a feminist. Besides, the only people who ought to be offended by the post are the saas-bahu in question. It’s just that I found the post stupid (just a personal opinion, of course). Secondly, I find that a lot of married men make a mockery of this particular issue (in way that does justice neither to their mothers nor wives) and that’s what I find irritating. Of course, it’s perhaps not right to discuss that particular issue here as DP is merely posting articles and, naturally, is not accountable for the content.
DesiPundit allows users to indicate their preferences by voting in favor of posts. So I am guessing you want our opinion on the kind of posts we like. Currently DP doesnt have a negative voting scheme, and that’s why I had to take the trouble of commenting explicitly. My comment was not intended to offend the person who put up the post in the first place. I appreciate the fact that you took the trouble to respond.
Thanks for all the great work you guys are doing!

Read yesterday on a bumper sticker: Feminism – the radical idea of treating women as equals.
