@IS,

Thanks for your response. I did not mean to say that I found the post offensive. I am a woman but I wouldn't call myself a feminist. Besides, the only people who ought to be offended by the post are the saas-bahu in question. It's just that I found the post stupid (just a personal opinion, of course). Secondly, I find that a lot of married men make a mockery of this particular issue (in way that does justice neither to their mothers nor wives) and that's what I find irritating. Of course, it's perhaps not right to discuss that particular issue here as DP is merely posting articles and, naturally, is not accountable for the content.

DesiPundit allows users to indicate their preferences by voting in favor of posts. So I am guessing you want our opinion on the kind of posts we like. Currently DP doesnt have a negative voting scheme, and that's why I had to take the trouble of commenting explicitly. My comment was not intended to offend the person who put up the post in the first place. I appreciate the fact that you took the trouble to respond.

Thanks for all the great work you guys are doing!

@ Anonymous: At DesiPundit we feature posts that are interesting for various reasons. I'm a woman, one that's been described as a staunch feminist even. Yet, I found the post quite funny. I don't think taking a stand on any issue means being unable to see its lighter side occasionally. I also don't think that it was the author's intention to offend anyone.
