One of the finest script writers of Malayalam cinema, A K Lohithadas, died of heart attack in Kochi yesterday. He was 54. Jestin Joy writes
What went unnoticed was that the common man offered him sparks for brilliant stories that made one think of the complexities of human nature. The delirium of a man deep-rooted in tradition portrayed in Thaniyavarthanam was a reminder of how thin the dividing line between sanity and insanity was, a theme that recurs in Bhoothakannadi, the first film he directed.
Brijesh Nair has a collection of scenes from his movies.
