Like everyone else who's seen this movie, it's hard not to enjoy it. Anyone who feels otherwise is probably a pseudo intellectual who thinks Fellini and Tarrantino but deserves junk like oso.
If i was to take away one character from the movie that stood out, that would be Zakir Hussain's. It had shades of ruthlessness,a hint of affection and ultimately, tragic vulnerability. Makes you wish the character was explored further but probably would have spoiled the flow. Probably one which could merit a movie on it's own.

sorry to say, this is one of the crappiest movie i have seen in ages...

hiding under the guide of pulpyness and slick camra tricks lies a movie that, unlike Vijay Anand and Tarintino classics, lacks the basic irony that makes such movies great...
when each of the characters find out how it was - that part should be a mystery to the viewer.... here it was completely dumbed down...
it was agonizingly long with irrelevant extra scenerios/ situations without any xplination

i can go on, but will stop because i dont want to waste another minute talking about this shit film...

rangan , I believe you also fell into the promowatcher/thrill seeker trap...

johnny gaddar was never all that

there are references
and they are are just that ...mere references

apart for a rather looose melodramic exit by dharam paaji and the storyline it was a watch...

homage or not

Shuchi: Yup - a little too much of spot-the-movie, which can be fun on its terms (and which was in this case). I read someplace that Neil prefers Kishore's songs :-)

Wasn't there a bit too much of "tribute-paying" going on in the movie? Still, that and a few plot loopholes aside, it was an immensely satisfying watch.

I only just learnt that Neil is Mukesh's grandson. Would you know if he also sings? I didn't think too much of his acting skills but I appreciate his choice of debut film.
