Another year, and once again I am living the fest through your writings. Last year, mainly inspired by your articles, I promised myself that I will be attending the next IFFI. :(

But honestly, reading you is the next best thing possible.

About 'God Lives In The Himalayas', I am reminded of a mystical story-series on DD-1 in the late 80's (was it called 'Himalaya Darshan'?) which had very simple, and yet stunning tales of deep philosophy and mysticism of the hills.

I guess, it's something to do with hills only. It might be a very far-fetched example, but I feel Brokeback Mountain did get its 'philosophical upper-hand', a kind of higher-authority or internal justification by setting the encounter in the hills. (With so few people around, whoever you meet is your friend by default.)
