Similarly, intelligent life-forms existed in South Asia before the proliferation of cable television, cineplexes, shopping centers, cell phones, and the Internet. Using the cultural keystone Maine Pyar Kiya, I have attempted to painstakingly piece together details about the life of the “common person” as he or she lived in the era predating globalization.

Anirban looks back on our progress toward globalization by reviewing a pre-globalization society as determined from Maine Pyar Kiya. To be fair, when the standard was set so low, there was no place to go but up.

Their oppression and injustice are a long-drawn affair. The mango men meanwhile continue to get fines, death sentences, charge sheet and all other services of the State.

I gulped down whatever 50-60 ml in one shot. Other than the burning sensation in the throat, everything seems fine. And by the time 15-20 minutes pass, I am already thinking to myself, what’s the big deal with drink, I don’t even feel anything. Feeling good for myself and by that time even throat is feeling a lot better. That’s when the fun begins. I am so happy for being sober and get back to twitter. Then I do this:

Abstract: There is currently insufficient detail on how to perform emergency surgery for ridiculous bullet wounds that result from confronting Hindi film villains in everyday situations. Therefore, a clinical survey was undertaken with the purpose of identifying acceptable medical procedures compliant with known Bollywood practices. Two case studies presented here demonstrate that despite identical etiology, disparate outcomes result from the state of inebriation of the patient during the medical procedure.

One side-effect of sharing such classic gems of treating non-lethal bullet injuries inspired by Bollywood movies is some idiot trying it in all seriousness after Googling and landing on this page [hat tip: ProxyDesi].

Now as a kid, this song was fun to sing, but definitely not easy to understand! Arbi had nothing to do with Arabia in my little head, but everything to do with the slimy veggie colocasia, which I’ve never had any fondness for. A horse made of colocasia? What kind of bizarre slippery ride would that be? Grown ups were crazy!
