Category Feeds

The syntax for the category feeds is as follows:

  • http://www.desipundit.com/category/category-name/feed

Replace “category-name” from the list of the categories. Use the parent category name before using child category. E.g. the URL for the SciTech sub-category under main Community category is:

  • http://www.desipundit.com/category/community/scitech/feed

and the URL for the Education sub-category under the main New & Upcoming category is:

  • http://www.desipundit.com/category/new-upcoming/education/feed

Feeds Without Certain Categories

We understand that you may want to exclude certain categories from our feed e.g. you may want a feed that excludes all posts categorized as humor (because you don’t share our sense of humor?). This can be easily achieved by adding a piece of code at the end of our feed URL. The basic syntax of the URL will be:

  • http://www.desipundit.com/feed?cat=-21,-22

where 21 and 22 are IDs of categories you want excluded. Since there are dozens of categories on this site, we are not going to list the IDs for all of them. Email us and tell us which category you want excluded and we’ll send you the modified RSS feed URL. More on the technical details.

Given the popularity of microblogging, you can follow us on Twitter at @DesiPundit. This feed generally contains links to our posts and bookmarks apart from the infrequent quips and updates on status of our site.
