Tip Off DesiPundit

Follow the steps below to submit your blog post to DesiPundit:

1. Create an account at Del.icio.us (if you don’t have one already).

2. Install the del.icio.us add-on in your Firefox browser (if you haven’t already). It should look like this:

3. Open the exact URL of the blog post page that you want to submit.

4. Click on the button that says “Tag” and it will open a pop-up window with the link of the post already entered.

5. Edit the Title portion to just show the exact title of the post.

6. Enter a short description of the post that gives us an idea of what the post is about.

7. Enter the necessary and appropriate tags in line with the content of the post and most importantly, use ‘tipfordp’ tag. This will display your link on our Link Submission page and make it easier for us to find it.

8. That’s it. the first two steps are one-time and the rest are a breeze when you get used to it. You should see your submitted link appear on this page and even if we don’t end up linking to it, readers can click on it and read your submission.

Guidelines for submitting your post links

  • Are you a Community member? Then don’t use this method. Simply tag your posts with the DesiPundit label/category/tag on your blog and our aggregator will pick it up.
  • Submit only blog posts. Use the ‘fordesipundit’ tag for non-blog content.
  • Must feature substantive original writing that reflects your opinion. Do not submit posts that use extensive excerpts from other sources.
  • Refrain from submitting every post you write. If you hog the submitted links page, you’ll be banned from sharing and will end up pissing off your fellow bloggers. And you know how bad pissed off bloggers can be.
  • Brownie points for submitting a blog hitherto unpublished on DesiPundit.
  • If you are submitting someone else’s post, include your name and blog URL in description for credit (optional).
  • If you end up submitting posts that are regularly featured on DesiPundit, we’ll invite you to join the Community. So better the posts you submit, higher the chances are of getting invited to the Community.
